History
Spotspot founder Tobi Schneidler has been exploring design on the boundary between the physical and digital worlds for over 10 years. As a trained architect, he joined the internationally acclaimed Smart Studio Interactive Institute, creating a number of successful interactive installations for venues including the Centre Pompidou, Ars Electronica and the SF MoMA, as well as speaking at leading international conferences.
Tobi moved on to form Maoworks in 2005, helping some of the leading private and public organisations to create better and more meaningful interactions between people, places and products; delivering a range of successful research, innovation and design led projects.
Spotspot was set up in 2010 after perceiving a step-change in consumer behaviour and the emergence of multichannel retailing. We feel this is a truly exciting time to help define how physical places, like shops, start opening doors to the digital domain.
